David Newman, D.C. ACU

Dr. David Newman practices Functional Medicine.

Born in Brooklyn, New York, Dr. Newman transplanted to Miami, graduated with Honors from Miami-Dade College, and attended the University of Florida before receiving his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree from Life University in 1983. Postgraduate studies followed in anti-aging medicine, naturopathy, licensed in acupuncture, fitness coach in track and basketball, and continues to stay current in the latest in functional medicine.

Dr. Newman serves the community as a consultant, educator and advocate for progressive, science-based approaches to health. This passion is shown by serving on the board as Chairman of Positive Alternative Therapies in Healthcare, a nonprofit focused on educating the public on progressive, science-based health approaches to health and wellness.

His clinical time is focused on Functional Medicine; a scientific approach to chronic illness, based on the biochemical individuality of person, interactions with their environment, diet, and their mental and spiritual health.

“Life and health conditions improve only when you commit to changing or removing the responsible factors. My job is to find out what those factors are, create your individual plan, then help you through the process. I combine the best of science and nature to meet your specific health needs.” Your plan may include nutritional, detoxification, exercise, and lifestyle counseling. Special lab tests are used as needed.

Dr. Newman spends his free time “trying to practice what I preach”, and working with several nonprofit organizations.
