- Bone fractures
- Pain in the lower back, neck or shoulder
- Herniated discs

When a person is injured due to a fall, they should be evaluated by a physician, preferably a chiropractor. This can involve an MRI, CT scan and/or x-rays to rule out sprains fractures or herniation’s. The doctor must understand how the accident happened, the symptoms involved, in order to make treatment recommendations.
Spasms and swelling resulting from a fall can be reduced by using physical therapy, heat, myofascial work, chiropractic care, therapeutic ultrasound and ice. A rehabilitation program may be necessary to help the patient regain range of motion and surgery may be necessary in some cases depending on the severity of the injury.
